A Flight Mistake Made Great

I made a booboo, a pretty big mistake. My flight to leave N.Y.C. was scheduled for 7:55 a.m. Well… so I thought. As my mom was showing me her maternal love, feverishly texting me about my flight plans as I was sitting in the Uber cab on the way to the airport, I looked over my flight itinerary to see that I had actually booked a flight for Sunday, May 24th. Oops.

We’ve all made mistakes, right? I am not sure if I have made a mistake quite this big when it comes to flying though. I guess there is a first time for everything. Luckily, I have been able to reschedule my flight for later this afternoon with a very small fee.

This will be my view for the next seven hours before my flight. My mom offered to pay the difference to get me on an earlier flight but the way I see it, it’s meant to be.

I have been slacking on my blog. Instead I’ve been focusing on writing applications and meeting people while I have been in N.Y.C. Now, stuck in an airport with hours to waste, I can't think of any better way than to waste them away catching up and planning for the weeks ahead.

Life is not perfect, nor are you (and me). You are going to make mistakes. When they happen there is no reason to get caught up in fury (I myself am guilty of this at times). What’s done is done. So instead of wasting time in anger, use your time productively and maybe you will find that things happened just the way they were supposed to.
