Motions of the Ocean

I preach it quite a bit. Getting up early to make the most of your Saturday - having to go into work at 8:30 this morning I have no choice but to rise and shine early. I am happy to have something to get me moving because honestly my motivation has been slacking this week.

Yes, I am going through the motions of life, getting my work done, but it’s been a struggle to do so. I think we all have these days, weeks, months, and sometimes years. Life is like the ocean and we are riding the waves. You’ll hear from really determined people who have a lot of accomplishments and think, jeez how do they do it all the time?

The difference is those types of people don’t let the low points of the waves keep them under. They fight back to the top and try to ride out on it, using its positive momentum to project them further along. Once they are at the top they forget about their low points because they don’t want to write it into their story. Focusing on the negativity will pull you back down. So they are constantly looking forward and upward, the direction in which they want to go.

So today and everyday look where you want to go. Think how you want to think and feel the things you wish to feel in your life. All the other stuff - let it roll off your back like a wave when you dive under.
