My Story...

FEATURED REVIEWS

If you ask me where I am from, I will proudly ask you in return if you have heard of the Rose Bowl. I like to consider it my backyard. I grew up in Pasadena, California. It's been years since I lived in Southern California, and I still think it's one of the greatest places in the world. Spending 18 years in Pasadena is where I found my love for sunshine and warm temperatures, it could even be called a mild obsession.

Growing up, I enjoyed playing in the California sunshine with my dad. Those years were numbered though. About a year after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, my dad passed away. At that time, I was a mature ten-years-old. Being that young you don't understand the impact losing a loved one will have on your life. Today, it's hard for me to watch a preteen and their naive behaviors, because mine were stripped away so suddenly. It's because I have experienced loss though, that I cherish the moments I do have. I think our time should be spent doing what we love with whom we love. I am easily categorized as a glass half full type of gal, only I'd say my cup is overflowing.

From pain and loss can come some of the most pure moments in life. Times when people come together, demonstrating the depths of human connection. It's those kinds of stories which brought me to journalism. It's my hope to bring to you human truths. Stories that can inspire. Stories that resonate with us because our jouneys have led us to feel the same emotions.

If I could I would have a cup of coffee with someone different everyday to hear their story, because it's by listening where we can gain the most insight. For now though I will stick to reporting, and share what I find on air and tell you my story online.
