Peace With Uncertainty

I am in a place of uncertainty. My life could drastically change tomorrow, next week, or even a few months from now. Despite being extremely A-type, I have found peace in the situation.

Getting to this mindset didn’t happen overnight, I had to rustle with it. What I found when I rustled was consuming my thoughts with the uncertainty only made things worse. I became obsessive with my work and never gave myself a break from going over the things in my life looming in the air, ready to drop at any moment.

When you are faced with challenges it’s easy to get bogged down by the big picture, feeling overwhelmed. Instead, I suggest breaking down your problems. First get through that morning presentation you have, then that tough workout on your training log. Make things more manageable and you will be able to get through them successfully.

Finding peace in my situation doesn’t mean I have given up. During this uncertainty I will stay focused on my goals and me. Nothing else. There are too many things I can’t control, and worrying about them is a waste of breath. As long as you have faith in what’s to come and act on the things you can, you will make it out alive… even if you aren’t sure how.
