Loved

Wow. The amount of love I have felt over the past two days has given me that warm fuzzy feeling, like on a cold winter night when you are all snuggled up beneath some blankets, drinking some homemade hot chocolate with a crackling fire in front of you.

When I decided to become Catholic it was a decision I made for me. A lot of times people take on a religion to join the faith of a significant other. You could see this just within the group of people I have spent every Thursday with, as all had their partners standing beside them.

Sometimes I felt insecure. Everyone else had someone throughout the process. I was alone. This weekend I was reminded that though I may not have had someone consistently standing next to me, I still had love and support. It came from all across the country.

I was overwhelmed by the gifts, phone calls and text messages I received from people expressing their love and congratulations. Some of those people I had only had one or two conversations with about me taking on the Catholic faith. Some also not necessarily inspired by the Catholic faith themselves, but they knew how much this meant to me and all of them wanted to extend their love because they knew how important it was to me.

My heart is so full, full of love and gratitude. What a great feeling to have after taking a deeper step into faith.
