Motivational Monday: Change Your Attitude

It’s rare I have these types of thoughts on a Monday.

More often than not I am a conquer the world, cheers to begins and Mondays kind of gal. However, this morning I was feeling the Monday blues... getting back to the swing of things after a calm holiday weekend can do that to you I think. Initially I didn’t want to post about the struggle because I want to be an inspiration, but I also want to be truthful and the fact is even motivational junkies like myself have our down days. What you can’t do is let those types of days beat you.
This is where persistence comes in.
You have to push yourself to see the good, because trust me, it’s better and more enjoyable than seeing the bad. Find the positive. For me, that starts with gratitude. Be thankful.
Today I had a choice. I was cut early from work because no one came into the restaurant where I serve. I could have been sad because no tables = no money. Instead, I was happy. It was sunny in Cincinnati (that NEVER happens) so this meant time for me to go enjoy the sunshine. Happiness doesn’t come to you, you have to create it. Everyday is always better with a positive lens, and sometimes that means working a little harder to see through it.
